Fast shipping, product works great! Love the LED lights that come on at the start of a cycle and off when the water is finished. Very compact, barely takes up a corner on my table! The kettle slides off the base pretty easily and the cord can be wrapped into the base which is great for storage. Boiled 4 liters of water as recommended by instruction, each 1.5 liter only took about 5 mins to come to a complete boil. Extremely satisfied with the quality, efficiency, and price of this kettle! Definitely send the extra 10 bucks instead of the 15 or 20 for a “cheaper” kettle… You won’t be sorry!

It’s too soon for me to review it really, but I feel compelled to remark that this thing is big. It seems like the right thing for catering a workshop or a meeting, but for a personal cup of tea at our conventionally sized kitchen counters, it seems out of proportion. Compare it our old 1L kettle and the kitchen cabinet height in the photo (that egg is a USDA Large).

I bought a Secura stainless steel electric kettle and this less known Rosewill model. They both boast roughly the same specs having entirely stainless interiors, 1500 Watt elements & cool touch exterior. Also, no plastic widows to view the water level & contaminate your water with synthetic hormones as your coffee maker has likely been doing to you for years.
Aesthetically, the Rosewell is the clear winner. It’s elegant curves and cool blue switch make it an attractive edition to your countertop or bedside table. I’ve got one on both=) I find the .2 litter bigger Secura looks clumsy & is disproportionately bulky as compared to the Rosewill model.
Performance-wise, the two models work about the same. At full capacity, it’s likely the Secura model takes a few moments more to come up to a boil. The bright light on the Rosewill model is easier to see from across the room than the orangy incandescent light on the Secura model. The Rosewill also tapers up from a broad base, suggesting that they thoughtfully made the heating element broader to provide greater/faster heat distribution & overall stability. The box of the Rosewill model also boasts its made with Strix brand hearing elements which, apparently, provide a longer life than generic heating elements. Combine that with the fact that Rosewill has made its name in the manufacture of quality computer components & I feel more comforted than I would with Hamilton Beach, Secura, GE, etc. I have a real problem with planned obsolescence, grrr.
Value is where the Rosewill kettle most clearly outshines the Secura. As of this review, the Secura is 1/3 more expensive than the Rosewill -about a 15 dollar difference. That’s a big enough difference I was able to buy 2 for myself & one for my mother with a Benjamin & still had money for tea=)
I’ve written both companies as to ascertain warranty info as both are quite vague (Secura downright confusing) on their packaging. I will update this review once I’ve heard back.
If the Rosewill has one conceivable con its that the underside of the little plastic flap is, indeed, made of plastic that is touched by water as it is poured. A pity but, I think, negligible when you think of all the plastic lined hot cups many of us drink from, the k-cups & plastic coffee makers most of have us brewed coffee in, etc. The fear is, of course, things like BPA (a synthetic estrogen) making it into our bodies. Remember, the water only briefly grazes this piece, isn’t boiled in it & eventually the BPA on the surface of the plastic will taper off.

I bought a Secura stainless steel electric kettle and this less known Rosewill model.
