This a simple device to use.You just add water, place the veggies in the bowls, put the cover on and set the timer. Veggies like carrots and broccoli take about 20 minutes to steam. About 10 minutes in you can smell the broccoli cooking. The manual state that the steamer also steams poultry, fish and meats. I have only tried veggies. I will update my post when I have tried the other foods I mentioned. Assembly is easy, there are no screws everything just fits on top of each other. The steamer is about the size of a blender (I’ve uploaded pics) 1 bowl holds a 12 oz bag of river ranch mix vegetables. The steamer provides enough steam to cooking the vegetables on the top bowl and lower bowl evenly. For the price I am happy with my purchase.

I received this steamer as a x-mas gift. Love it. It works well and the vegetables taste great. Love that you just add water, veggies, set the timer and let it go. No watching pots on the stove. Not a big appliance but has big results.
