I had a steamer like this thirty years ago and loved to be able to steam my vegetables. One of the photos on the website showed steaming fish and that is a perfect use for this. If you are watching calories, fish is the ideal meal and it can be cooked to perfection with no added calories.
My only concern is that it has metal prongs to lift it from the bottom of the pot. With this in mind, I choose a stainless steel pot. I haven’t used my non-stick pots with this as I did not want to take a chance on scratching them. Perhaps it wouldn’t scratch but since I have stainless steel, that is what I use.
It opens up large to fit in a large pot or folds up to use in a smaller pot.
It fans out easily and is very well made.
There is a ring on the top to easily lift the steamer from the pot when the food has finished cooking.

No more soggy veggies! I always wanted one of these steamers but have never owned one before. When this arrived it was only in a plastic bag…. sadly there were no instructions. I would have found that helpful if there had been. The steamer comes collapsed but opens to be approximately 5 inches by 9 inches.

Likes: The steamer is easy to use, easy to remove and easy to store, as it nicely opens and closes and has a handle/ring for when it’s hot.
Dislikes: The so called “legs” are a little bit flimsy riveted to the bottom and probably won’t hold up for long. One bent after one time use and wash only.
Overall: The concept of a collapsible container is great and for the most part works well. Not sure about the durability though, as if appears to be a bit on the weak side.
Overall an okay buy though I am not sure yet if I would buy it again. Time will tell.
