I just received my Ninja Mega Kitchen System from Costco and it’s amazing so far. My first recipe was a strawberry banana smoothie 1.5 cups strawberries, 1.5 cups spinach, 1/2 ripe banana, and 1 cups water. I was concerned about the leafy greens not blending well. I had read some reviews stating greens would only get torn into small pieces but I’m very pleased with the results with my Ninja.

Ninja Mega Kitched System – Excellent Offering, June 14, 2015

Picked this up at Costco this weekend on limited time sale for $135. These were set up on display near the front entrance right, I suspect this product sku was created especially for Costco.

This system is a reasonably priced alternative to other brands selling for much more money, think Vitamix and Blendtec. The Ninja’s also received favorable reviews in Consumer Reports. It’s amazing the ratings that this system received when compared against products that sell for 3 to 4 times as much money. This unit is rated at 1500 watts/ 2 hp, giving it adequate power to handle any tasks. My wife was surprised that this system included a food processor with blades, the small Nutra Ninja to make glass size smoothies as well as to go cups.

Euro-Pro – the parent company has made it it’s mission to develop product lines that provide value to consumers at a reasonable price. Just do a search on the company and there are interesting articles that discuss this company and their culture. .

I have watched the earlier tv info commercials for Ninja bullets, etc, and have always figured that anything with a goofie name like Ninja in it’s product name couldn’t be taken seriously. I have been proven wrong.

    Pros
    3-in-1 system!
We love using the smoothie cups for dressings, sauces, smoothies, and protein drinks.
The food processor shreds cheese and veggies well. We also use it to make salsa, it worked wonderfully.
The blender makes up big batches of fruit drinks with ease.
    Cleans easily.
Great customer service. The processor discs came with stickers and one didn’t peel off completely. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one right away, free of charge!

    Cons
It is loud! Terrifies my two-year-old.
Blender and processor blades are plastic and seem cheap, hopefully they’ll prove me wrong (discs and smoothie blade seem fine).
Hard to dry. The food processor has lots of cracks between the plastic and rubber and moisture gets stuck in there. We live in a humid climate and I feel like the water just sits in there and turns to mold. It takes a full day to air dry

Our Kitchen Aid Blender and Food Processor (two separate machines) broke within weeks of each other (nine years after our wedding). I was disappointed we’d have to replace both and didn’t know how to budget for either. I asked friends for recommendations and someone I really trust mentioned the Ninja as a budget friendly option. When I looked it up I loved the idea of getting both appliances in one system. The smoothie system is just an added bonus (which we’ve used a lot more than we’d imagined).

After three months of ownership I am pleased with our purchase. Hopefully it will last at least 10 years, proving it’s value and durable compared to Kitchen Aid (which we did love). Overall, this seems like an economically sound investment.
