These little bastages come in very handy when it’s time to clean your cast iron pans. If you’ve ever just simply fried a hamburger and got a good searing going, you’ll often leave a little bit of what I like to call (and eat) “grill-scrapin’s” and they can really glue into your cast iron cookware no matter how seasoned. I use the Lodge nylon brush on my cast iron cookware and most of the time that’s all I need. But if you’ve got bits of food that are in love with your pan, this will save you a good deal of wear and tear on your nylon brush. Well made as is most of Lodge’s products. Now I’ve gone and made myself hungry.

I ordered these when my PChef ones got lost in the move. They work great and I’m sure they were cheaper than the ones I replaced. Nice and sturdy (not flimsy at all)!

My husband ordered these little pot scrapers and I just couldn’t imagine them really working. I thought they were cheesy and just another way to get a few bucks out of a sucker. Well, I was wrong!!
These little scrapers really do what they claim to do. My husband is the cast iron person and he cleans his pans with these little scrapers when something has been sitting too long and he needs to put a little elbow grease into it.
Here’s a video he made on Lodge’s 6″ skillet. He shows how to clean the pan using one of these scrapers and then shows how to season the pan.
