I got this sharpener for my ceramic knives and have been using for a while now. This one works for my ceramic knives very well. I actually tried couple other sharpeners prior but none really worked out well. I think other sharpeners were meant more for their brand sharpeners. I also tried battery operated ones and they were considerably slower to sharpen.
PROS: – Well made. Others were cheaply made – Sturdy. Extremely sturdy. Some other ones I tried which were just cylindrical were harder to balance and felt flimsy. – High powered electrical – Didn’t need to be mounted for usage – Each to clean – Works well
CONS: – Doesn’t sharpen serrated blades – runs extremely quiet (i guess not really a con, but I once forgot it was on)

I have had a set of Shenzhen Ceramic knives for a few years now, and they have been used a lot. And I haven’t taken the best care of them, so they developed some small nicks which made the blade feel dull. I had the Kyocera DS 50, but it’s quite weak since it’s battery powered, and it couldn’t grind down the bigger chips. This sharpener is excellent. It has two wheels, fine and coarse and it’s a high powered plug in sharpener so it really grinds the blade well. An added bonus is that it sharpen my steel knives too, which makes it well worth the price for an electric diamond wheel sharpener!
Highly recommend this sharpener, as it’s extended the life of my ceramic knives (and steel knives) and restored them to just like new!

Finally a quality ceramic knife sharpener,
