Love this coffee! Try it but buy at Costco for half the price. Not bitter, wonderful aroma, smooth pure taste!

This is great coffee but this price is three times what it is at a local big box store. This price point is laughable.

Great coffee and normally a great value…but as of right now, the price for this listing is much higher than everyone else, October 12, 2014

When I think of, “coffee-flavored-coffee that tastes like good coffee with a notable flavor shot of coffee with a coffee taste,” I think of Dunkin’ Donut’s Original House Blend. I love this stuff. It’s good-quality coffee that is readily available, consistent in quality, and available for an affordable price (note that the price of this listing is ridiculously priced as this can be bought from other sellers/companies for much less.) When made using one of the better methods of preparation, this coffee is really hard to beat in quality. For the coffee fan who wants a standard coffee of a medium roast and general flavor balance, this is hard to beat. It’s also something that is a great gift given most everyone loves this stuff!

The Original Blend is a medium-roast coffee made from Arabica beans coming from Central America and South America. It has a really good balance in flavors, and really represents the classic medium roast that characterizes American coffee in a sense that you can taste both the roast and the bean (versus a lighter roast having flavor mainly of the bean, and the darker roast having mainly the flavor from the roasting process.) It’s smooth-drinking, has a clean finish, and a medium body with a blend of flavor notes. It is not overly acidic, but not dull either. When brewed at the correct temperature (around 200F) it also is not bitter in the least. This coffee tastes good whether you are buying it pre-ground or whole. This coffee has been around for a long time and today remains unchanged as one of the most popular coffees on the market; the reason for this is because it is good.

Like most any coffee, how it is made influences how good (or bad) it tastes. My method of choice is using the Chemex, and I would argue that Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend made in a Chemex will yield coffee that is comparable to most any medium roast coffee on the planet. Dunkin’ Donuts Original through a Chemex is a completely different experience than Dunkin’ Donuts through a machine!

    .
***Note that the current price, as of the day I am making this review, is unusually high for Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend. This is not an expensive coffee and can be found from other sellers (and in stores) for substantially less. The value aspect of the coffee is one of the reasons it is so well-liked given you get great quality for the money. This current price does not reflect this and is way, way, way too high.
