I love cats. I love love. And I love cooking (and eating!). Welcome to my blog!
My name is Chanel, I live in Sydney with my husband and 2 beautiful cats, Satine & Isis, I’m a reformed fussy eater, and a new vegetarian.
Our first wedding anniversary, Mount View, Hunter Valley
I spent most of my years being a bland, boring eater. I disliked most things, from gravy to asparagus, pepper to lamb shanks, and anything from the sea was definitely out. The list of food I wouldn’t eat was ridiculously long. Mum tells me that when I was very young I loved to eat things like lobster and smoked salmon, but somewhere along the way I became a fussy eater.
It wasn’t until I moved out of home around 5 years ago, with my now-husband*, that I started falling in love with cooking and eating beautiful food. Over the past 3 years my food love has exploded, and I’ve made an effort to keep trying new things.

Hello,
This is Jasmin from A Touch of RoJo and my husband and I wanted to pass on the Stylish Blogger Award to you. We hope that you haven’t been awarded one yet, because that would totally stink. We think your blog is so clean, simple and full of great recipes. I’m all about your desserts and the pumpkin soup calls my name. Plus, we like that fact that you feature restaurants as well. Something that we’ve been attempting to do but have yet to post. Keep up the good work and you can refer to our blog for guidelines and instructions for the award if you’d like. Happy Cooking.

The clarity of your photos really caught my eye. I shared similar experiences of being fussy to certain foods when I was younger but now wonder what my earlier objections were and how much I have missed out! I think it comes down to having and open mind and open palate, we are indeed in a melting pot of goodies from all over the world. Great blog and look forward to reading it!
Thank you for your comments! I agree – and it’s so good overcoming fussiness and that inner voice that says silly things like ‘I don’t like green beans’ for example – now I love green beans!
Your cats are gorgeous! There can’t be enough of us cat-food bloggers – love your work
Aw, thank you! I love your logo
My friend Chanel! I hadn’t read this part of your blog (you know how hopeless i am with these things) but as i am always sending it to fellow foodie friends, i thought i would READ it rather than skim through. Just want you to know i am super impressed with it. I know i could tell you this in person, or via email or FB or phone, but just wanted to prove that i have actually been on this page
Good work! xx
